What makes the request urgent

Urgency comes from the condition around the equipment—not just from a label on the service page.

A loss of comfort can become a property or occupant risk when temperatures are extreme, pipes may freeze, water is spreading, electrical protection trips, or someone in the property is especially vulnerable. Describe the actual condition so the request can be routed honestly.

No heat

No-heat service path

Furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, and ductless systems fail in different ways.

“No heat” may mean the equipment never starts, starts but shuts down, runs without warming the property, heats only part of the building, or produces a safety or water warning. The system type, energy source, controls, distribution method, and symptom all matter.

For a furnace, report whether the thermostat calls for heat, whether the blower runs, and any display or diagnostic code. For a boiler, report whether radiators or baseboards stay cold, whether water is visible, and whether the system or circulator makes a new sound. No-cooling service path

When is no air conditioning an emergency?

Should I reset an HVAC breaker that tripped?

A breaker that trips again needs diagnosis of both the connected equipment and its electrical supply.

What should I do about water or ice around HVAC equipment?

Keep people away from water that is near wiring, disconnects, a panel, or energized equipment. Do not reach into equipment, chip ice from a coil, or bypass a condensate switch. If it is safe to do so without touching water or electrical parts, stop normal system operation and call.
